Common questions

The result barely looks relit

Raise brightness and move the light further off axis. A key placed at the centre front does very little that the original light was not already doing; the same photo lit from the upper left or from behind changes far more.

The light came from the wrong place

Left, right, front and behind land reliably. Height is less exact: a light asked for from below usually reads as low frontal or low rim light rather than a strict uplight. If the height matters, try the corner positions, which hold their direction better than the pure vertical ones.

A generation failed

The credits go back to your balance automatically, with no action from you. If your balance still looks wrong after a minute, email us with the approximate time and we will check the ledger.

The app rejected a finished result

That is deliberate. Before showing you anything, the app checks that the result has the same orientation and aspect ratio as the photo you imported. A rotated or cropped result would quietly change the meaning of the light direction you chose, so it fails visibly instead.

I bought credits and cannot see them

Purchases settle through the App Store or Google Play and can take a moment. Open the credits screen again to refresh your balance. If it has not arrived after a few minutes, email us with the store receipt.

My result disappeared

Server copies of results expire after 24 hours. Export anything you want to keep to your photo library while it is still there; exported copies stay on your device until you remove them.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes, for photos you own or have permission to use. See the terms of service.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app, in one step, without contacting us. It removes your library and your saved settings. Financial records that the law requires us to keep are pseudonymised rather than deleted, and photos you exported to your own device are unaffected.

Reporting a problem with a result

Relighting is generative and can alter fine detail. If a result misrepresents something in a way that matters, send us the time of the generation and a description. Please do not email the photo itself unless we ask for it.
